Tough Guy - My Life On The Edge 6/10
First off, I’m a huge hockey fan and a fan of Probie. I got a chance to play with him when he came to Abu Dhabi for a charity event (mentioned in the book). The intro was pretty touching. Dani’s description of his death was tough to read, perhaps because I’m a father and wouldn’t want to leave my wife or son. The book was rushed to be finished after his death and it reads like it. Seems incomplete and a little all over the place. True, he hides nothing and you get the picture of how careless and selfish he was, but it’s not written smoothly. I actually started to think that he must have had some kind of brain damage as he continually did/said very stupid things. Tough Guy is a good read for a hockey fan. It’s definitely eye-opening to those who followed his career and thought they knew a lot about him.
